I Made It--#23

Wow I'm finally at the end and a little sad-its been a long and sometimes not so fun journey, but thanks to Stephanie I didn't give up. I really enjoyed the YouTube site and Flickr for using the photos. Library Thing was also an interesting site. Yes if we did another discovery lesson I would try and work through it-just as long as Stephanie is still here. I guess your never to old to learn a few new things.

Net Library

I created an account and looked around the many areas of interest -I'm not sure I'll use this but at least now I know what's out there and I'll share this with my family(I'm sure they will use it). I looked at the travel books for our upcoming vacation and also checked out some on my hobbies that I have. At least now I'm more comfortable going to the site and looking around.

I had some trouble working on this one-but once again thanks to Stephanie I figured it out and was able to add a feed to my bloglines -there was so much out there to listen to and it was hard to decide what to add. I can say I won't be using this again-but it has really been a learning experience these past few months and I can now see a light at the end of the tunnel. Yeah!!

Thing 19

I checked out some of the winning sites for Travel-planning a summer vacation so got some tips from other's that already been there. I did like Travbuddy.com-didn't even know that site was out there. Pretty sure I will never use much of this ever again-but it has been interesting to see what all is out there. I guess it has been a learning experience.

Zoho

I'm learning that there are so many sites out there. I think I'll share this site with my family-I see them using it for school or work related documents.

At PBWiki I added my blog address and also my favorite vacation spot-South Dakota.

It was interesting to read other people's favorites and compare to my thoughts.

Sweet 16

I enjoyed looking around the Bull Run Library wiki-since they are in our backyard it was interesting to see what was happening in PW County. They even mentioned our LC Tool Bar-lots of interesting information. I am finding that there is a wealth of information out there I didn't know about. And I'm sure once this exercise is over I'll never visit again-but it's nice to know it's there.

I had no idea Web 2.0 was so powerful in our tech world. With my girls I have checked out Facebook and MySpace never knowing Web 2.0 was part of all this center of information.

Our children and grandchildren have so much to look forward when visiting the library in the future. This Web 2.0 will be a really powerful and exciting tool for them to explore.

I looked around technorati and it isn't something I would use much. It is interesting to know all this information is out there. But I don't think I would ever use it in my future.

Ok I'm still learning this reading of news feeds.
I'm glad this only a learning experience and not a real test.

It has been interesting!

A thought on technology. I must say this new experience has shown me that you can teach an old dog new tricks.
